Three reasons homeowners pick Royal Slat
Built for how Australians actually live
ASTM E84 Class A fire rating. Built for changing indoor conditions, with a hard-wax oil finish designed for everyday heating and air-conditioned spaces.
Reason 01
Genuine walnut, not a picture of it
1/40 in American black walnut veneer over a CARB-P2 MDF core. Grain, tone and knots vary panel to panel — the signature of real timber.
Reason 02
Acoustics you can measure
Lab-tested NRC 0.30 on 3/8 in polyester felt. Conversation softens, TV dialogue clears, and glass-heavy rooms stop echoing.
Reason 03
One panel covers the wall
270 × 110 cm of uninterrupted surface — fewer seams to align, less pattern matching and a cleaner feature-wall finish.
Designed for real Australian homes
Three rooms. Three transformations.
Room 01 · The Dining Room
Candlelight deserves walnut
One panel behind the marble table turned a hard, echoing room into the quietest seat in the house. "Twelve guests, zero raised voices."
Room 02 · The Home Office
Your calls, boardroom-grade
An architect hung a single panel behind his desk. His Zoom clients now assume he works from a corporate studio.
Room 03 · The Master Suite
A headboard the width of the wall
Warmer than plaster, quieter than stone — one panel replaced the entire headboard wall of a desert estate.

Up in one afternoon. My open kitchen stopped echoing the same day — and the walnut reads as furniture, not cladding.

No contractor needed
Four steps. About 45 minutes.
Find the studs
Run a stud finder along the wall, marking studs at the appropriate centres for your wall construction (commonly around 400–450 mm).
Lift into place
Two adults raise the panel — the 3-sided finish makes either edge the show face.
Drive the screws
Fasten through the felt between slats at suitable intervals using the supplied fixings, following the installation instructions and your wall type.
Stand back
Done. No seams to hide, no filler to sand, no second panel to wrestle level.
◆ 30-Day Home Trial ◆
Hang it. Live with it. Decide at home.
If the panel doesn't transform your room within 30 days, we pick it up from your door and refund every dollar. No restocking fee. No interrogation.

Before you order
The questions every buyer asks
Is one panel really enough for a feature wall?
Approximately 2.97 m² covers many TV walls, headboards and dining backdrops with fewer joins. Bigger wall? Use the calculator above — multiple panels can be aligned in the same slat direction for a continuous look.
Do I need a contractor?
For many standard installations, two people and basic tools are sufficient. Fixings pass through the black felt between the slats. Always use fixings suitable for your wall type and follow the installation instructions.
Is the walnut genuine?
Yes — 1/40 in American black walnut veneer, sliced and bonded over a CARB-P2 MDF core. Grain, knots and tone vary from panel to panel. That's how you know it's timber, not a print.
How does shipping work?
Free Australia-wide delivery, with orders typically dispatched within 48 hours. Tracking is provided when available. Delivery times may vary for regional and remote addresses.
What if it's not right for my room?
You have 30 days. We arrange pickup from your home and refund the full amount — no restocking fee, no questions asked.
Will it survive dry winter heat?
The CARB-P2 core is designed for typical indoor conditions (approximately 25–60% RH). Keep panels around 50 mm clear of direct heat sources and vents for the best long-term finish.
